South Texas Square & Round Dance Association

Welcome

The South Texas Square and Round Dance Association (aka STSRDA) was organized on February 11, 1949, by thirty-eight dancers representing eight clubs. STSRDA joined the Texas State Federation of Square and Round Dancers (TSFSRD) in 1963. Texas State Festivals have been held in Corpus Christi in 1986, 1994, and 1999. To date, there are about 230 dance members in the STSRDA representing 7 clubs.

STSRDA Purpose: To promote square and round dancing as a recreational activity and to perpetuate "Callerlab" styling and ethics as endorsed by the TSFSRD and STSRDA, and to promote fellowship and friendship among those interested in square and round dancing in the STSRDA area, whose boundaries are established by the TSFSRD.
